Zhuhai Social Work Education Development Center for Facilitators
The founding of Zhuhai Social Work Education Development Center for Facilitators (Zhuhai Facilitators) in 2008 marked the establishment of China’s first non-governmental social work organization located inside an industrial park to offer enterprise social work services. Guided by the principle of “Effecting Change through Cooperation, and Helping People Help Themselves”, Zhuhai Facilitators is engaged in innovative service for enterprise social work, education and advocacy, and professional support to grassroots NGOs. At Zhuhai Facilitators, we work to integrate the resources of government, businesses, and social organizations, and encourage the workers to participate in community affairs. We accompany our service users on a journey from seeking help to being able to help others. Exploring enterprise social work service model with a social inclusion perspective, Zhuhai Facilitators is committed to promoting development of enterprise social work in China.
Since December 2008, Zhuhai Facilitators has provided social work services, reaching over 340,000 people. Our enterprise social work service model has been identified by the Ministry of Civil Affairs as “the fourth model for development of social work.” Zhuhai Facilitators has been recognized as AAAAA (top level) NGO, National Pilot Social Work NGO, Model NGO for Standard Social Work Service, and Key Base for Training of Social Workers of Guangdong Province.
