Nanjing Community Development Center for Facilitators
Registered in 2007, Nanjing Community Development Center for Facilitators (Nanjing Facilitators) is the first social work organization dedicated to offering services for migrant workers in the Yangtze River Delta. Guided by the principle of “Effecting Change through Cooperation, and Helping People Help Themselves”, Nanjing Facilitators is engaged in innovative social work services, research and advocacy, as well as professional support to grassroots NGOs. We accompany our service users on a journey from seeking help to being able to help others. We also work to nurture social worker professionals and student societies in universities, and promote harmonious social development.
By 2022, Nanjing Facilitators has provided various kinds of social work services to over 290,000 migrant children, migrant workers, students, volunteers, and community officials. The diversified services have encouraged children living in difficulties to become volunteers and nurtured student societies. Along our services, a child-family-community-society four-in-one migrant worker community service model has been developed. We have also nuruted the first local child protection coalision for Jianye District, exploring a child protection mechanism that can better link governmental agencies and NGOs. Nanjing Facilitators has been awarded AAAA level NGO, National Pilot Social Work NGO, Top 100 National Social Work Service Organization, Best Women NGO of Jiangsu Province and Top Ten NGO of Nanjing. Many of our project cases and services cases have been recognized as national or provincial level best practices.
